A bas-relief of the Kazakh philosopher Abai was placed in Saint Vlas.
The face of the thinker is placed in the unique “Alley of Heroes”, created by the Foundation “Bulgarian Memory – Dinevi Brothers”
The opening ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of Kazakhstan in Bulgaria – Temirtay Izbastin, ex Foreign Minister Solomon Passy, by Mayor Ivan Nikolov citizens of Kazakhstan residing in Saint Vlas during the summer.
The scale of Abai exceeds Central Asia and that is why we decided to make him part of our Alley of Nations, said at the opening the writer Stoyan Raichevski, director of the Bulgarian Memory – Dinevi Brothers Foundation. He pointed out the relevance of one of Abai’s thoughts, written on his bas-relief in Sveti Vlas – ” Man is a child of his time, and if he is bad, so are his contemporaries.”
The Ambassador of Kazakhstan Temirtai Izbastin thanked the Foundation “Bulgarian Memory – Dinevi Brothers” for honoring the memory of the philosopher Abai in the year when he celebrates 175 years since his birth.
Created by the Foundation – “Alley of the Nations” is the only one of its kind in Bulgaria. Its goal is to show respect not only to the Bulgarian, but also to the national heroes of other countries.For this purpose, bronze bas-reliefs with images of national heroes and brief information about them are placed there – as an expression of respect for the countries and their national personalities.
