MARINA DINEVI FOR THE 13TH TIME WELCOME BULGARIA’S LEADING TV JOURNALISTS

The prestigious competition “Television Journalism Awards Saint Vlas” was held on June 3 and 4, 2023.

 

The annual Sveti Vlas TV Journalism Awards support innovation and original ideas, distinguish and promote the author’s approach, the understanding of journalism as a sphere of individual presence, creativity and professionalism.

The initiators are “Circle 11” – Ivan Garelov, Prof. Ivaylo Znepolski, Associate Professor Georgi Lozanov, Lyuben Dilov- son, Koprinka Chervenkova, Georgi Tenev, Jimi Naydenov, Stefan Dimitrov, Antoni Georgiev, Pavel Vasev – the late Petko Bocharov also died recently .

Marina Dinevi and Dinevi Group are hosting the event.

The “GRAND PRIZE” prize is awarded for achievements in Bulgarian television journalism

“SPECIAL AWARD” entries are awarded for original ideas and individual presence

Individual authors and entire teams were also honored.

The ceremony for the awarding of the prestigious awards takes place on the seashore in the “Marina Dinevi” resort in Saint Vlas.

Bulgarian National Television journalist Alexander Markov is this year’s winner of the St. Vlas TV Journalism Grand Prize. The “Around the World and Here” reporter is honored for his documentary “The War in Ukraine: A Few Stories Later.” Through the testimonies of six unique individuals, the film shows how the war changed human destinies and marked life forever.

Laura Krumova, the host of NOVA’s journalistic show “On Focus”, was awarded the special award for television journalism “Sveti Vlas” – the reason for the recognition was the interviews she did with Bill Browder, known as “the father of the Magnitsky law” and Ambassador Jim O’Brien, head of the Office of Sanctions Coordination at the US State Department.

The reporter and presenter of btv News, Beste Sabri, won the special award for television journalism “Sveti Vlas” for the reports from Turkey after the devastating earthquake in February.

With an award from the ceremony in Saint Vlas, one of the emblems of the Bulgarian National Television was honored – the only program on agriculture, animal husbandry, agribusiness and development of rural areas in our country “Brazdi” with presenter Miglena Kazarian, which in 2023 marks the remarkable 60 years on public television.

Marina Stoimenova and Nadya Gancheva from Euronews Bulgaria were honored with the prestigious St. Vlas annual television journalism award. They were listed in the “Year of War” – a large-scale production of the Bulgarian Euronews channel, which marked the anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine
